Annual Brent/Cassidy Christmas Party

Saturday we had the whole family together which hopefully will not be the last! A lot of additions to the family in 2010 and new traditions. We did a Chinese Gift Exchange which was a lot of fun and look forward to doing it again!
A gift that was a hit. Megan picked it, mom stole it and John took it from mom! It is now hanging somewhere in our house.
The biggest hit of the night which Aunt Liz brought. Kirby picked it and the best part is most everyone hoola hooped! Can't wait to see the pics Uncle James.

Another big hit Uncle Dick got. Harry picked it, grandfather Cassidy stole it and Harry took it back.
Didn't take long for Kirby to spot his cousins new rocking horse.

Thanks Megan and Mary Jane for coming in town! We all have a lot to celebrate and be thankful for and there is no better way than to do it with the ones you love!

Celebrating Jesus

Mom woke up early Christmas morning to see some goodies Santa left! Baby Brent can not wait to use it which might be why he/she woke me up so early!
Santa even left Tucker some goodies. He was patiently waiting for mom and dad!
He was in heaven until mom made dad close the box.
Please mom can I have some more!

This year was the year for dad to receive beer!! Think he is going to need it or something?!?!
Aunt Liz gave him beer and a cooler that floats in the pool/river.
Grandmother & Grandfather Cassidy surprised us with lots of goodies! Have mixed emotions on the Wii right now. May be should of waited until the nursery was finished :)
Thanks Uncle Dick and Aunt Megan. Can't wait to make some baby food and you know the KRUPS has already been used . . . a lot!
Gorgeous books from Great Gran Meme and Mo

We had a wonderful Christmas and most of all enjoyed having the whole family together. Dad and I are looking forward to starting new traditions with Baby Brent next year!

Christmas Eve

We celebrated Christmas at Gigi and Pops the afternoon of Christmas Eve . . . got there late due to a wedding shower and work but were able to spend some time with the family. MomB and Harry drove in from the beach, as well as the Alexanders were all there.
Kirby opening his gift from Pops . . . fish!
Opening his Black and Decker Junior tools from us . . . aka big boy tools!
Ready to work :)
Gigi got MomB some gorgeous glasses

John and I drew both Bebe and Ted so we got them a fire pit for their new back patio.
Uncle James made it home soon after everyone left. We were so glad he made it safe and sound and were able to see him.
He brought Baby Brent a sock monkey
Thank you everyone for our goodies!!
Next stop the Cassidy's. Aunt Liz came in town and hadnt seen her since the end of September so she was anxious to see Baby Brent aka the belly! After dinner, we continued our Christmas Eve tradition and headed to the Atheys!

Neverending Leaves

When I got home on Sunday with less than two hours to spare before needing to be at Mimi's, this is what I found in my driveway! I wonder if this boy will ever sit still which might be why I think this active kid inside me is a boy and just like his (or her) father!

He was only able to do a small portion of the yard but had the biggest grin on his face! As soon as the holidays are over, I am sure he will back out in the yard finishing up so stop by for a good laugh :)

Third Trimester . . .

and LAST! We have a lil over 11 weeks til the due date!
This past weekend was full of Christmas shopping and parties.
Baby Bump or I guess I should say Belly picture taken right before we left for our second party on Saturday night.
Sunday we celebrated Christmas with the Cassidy side of the family at Great Grandmother Mimi's house.

Gingerbread House

Last Christmas, Kirby and I decorated a gingerbread house and throughout the year he would ask where it was. With both of our busy schedules, we finally found time this past Sunday to continue the tradition and decorate, or should I say EAT it.
We picked him up on our way back in town, let him play with Tucker (a.k.a tire them both out) while we got the car unpacked and everything ready. As soon as it was time, he spotted cookies left over from the party. Big mistake :)
Oh how I love sugar!!!
Uncle John decided to help us this year. Kirby kept asking him for icing!
Please more icing!
"One more candy? haven't tried this one . . . yes you have . . . not this color :)"
Finally got him to decorate instead of eat the candy!
There were little colorful candies that surprisingly kept getting stuck to his fingers which he HAD to eat :)
I took tons of pictures trying to get him with the finishing product! This is the closest I got to a smile. He would sneak his finger behind the house and get icing!

He was so worn out after decorating that he wanted to take a nap . . . NOT! He and Tucker ran circles around each other in the backyard! Sorry Bebe & Ted!

Relaxing weekend with family

This past weekend, we were invited to Camilla, GA where "soon to be" Aunt Megan's family lives. Mom was extremely worn out from the party so got a good night sleep and headed there Saturday morning.

We arrived around lunch time and had some delicious chili. It unfortunately was raining but that didn't stop us from having fun. We all piled in the car and drove around the property. Saw lots of gorgeous old pecan groves and then headed to a cotton gin that Tom owns. Dad is still talking about it! Thank you so much for the tour and t-shirts, especially Baby Brents!
On our way back we stopped in Moultrie for a cocktail before heading back to the farm. They decorate downtown with tons of lights which was fun to see. We were almost blocked in for their Christmas parade but quickly got out with minutes to spare!

We were hoping to have a bonfire but it unfortunately poured! I know everyone was bummed about the weekend weather but for a tired momma, it is just what I needed!

Main cabin
Cabin where Grandmother & Grandfather Cassidy slept
Pour Emma was sick and not herself . . . hope she is feeling better!
Uncle Dick paying close attention . . . for once :)
Right before the baby kicked everyone. Uncle Dick and GF Cassidy felt a couple of smaller kicks. The kicks started getting harder and bam, gotcha Aunt Megan. Wish we had gotten a picture of her face! Priceless!
(Yes they are getting harder and harder which might be why I have been up since 4am!)
Sunday morning, dad woke up early . . . shocking huh! The rained stopped for a couple of hours so he took some great pictures of the farm!
Dad's bud who loved the camera!
Gorgeous pheasant
Thank you so much for your hospitality! We had a wonderful time and can't stop talking about it!
