Last day of school

(First day of school - August 2011)
Look how much her hair has grown :)
Seems like yesterday we were taking the first pictures on the front porch. 9 months later she is a smart, funny, vibrant two year old who loves to say her ABC's, count to 12, sing songs (Bumblebee, Itsy bitsy spider, twinkle twinkle,  just to name a few.)
Today we had a popsicle picnic party for lunch. It was a perfect way to celebrate the end of the year due to the exceptional hot day we were having.
Margaret and her friends Hailey and Pierce.
Margaret (and her parents) were blessed to have such wonderful first teachers. Not sure we could of made it through the many of first transition without them. We sure are going to miss Ms Tara and Ms Lancey.
A little thank you Margaret made for helping her bloom!
We might have a little artist on our hands
She had a lot of fun making it for them.
Wish we could freeze time!

Mother's Day

It was a fun mother's day weekend.
Wasn't as low key as I had hoped but yet when is it with a 2 year old and a 7 month old :)
This picture sums up their relationship. They love each other and we sure do hope this lasts forever :)
Good Morning Simmsie! I love you!
Melts our hearts when she tells us I love you out of the blue!
Last night after dinner, she asked, "Please may I be excused?" John and I looked at each other in shock :)
We headed to Mojo's for dinner and spoiled Miss M with a lil treat afterwards. She loves her Yobe :)
Now that Simms can sit up, the girls love to take a walk in the wagon

On Sunday, we headed to Gigi and Pops for a yummy Mother's day lunch.
The pig tales lasted all of 1 minute!
Washing away the past! Ready to start a clean slate!
Windy days = hair pulled back!
Love these girls :)
At night Margaret use to say . . . say the prayers daddy. Now she says . . .
"Dear God, I say the prayers, Dear God I say the prayers. Dear God now daddy say the prayers." :)

7 months

Simms loves to babble!!
Bababababa!! Dadadadad!!
Nice change to "No" or "Mom what are you doing?" over and over again :)
This past weekend Simms started sitting up on her own.
She continues to pull up on almost anything and is going to take off any day.
She sleeps pretty good at night. This week she has gone to bed anywhere bw 7:30/8 and gotten up bw 6:30/7:15. Wish she would sleep later but she's just like her sister. Guess it could be worse.
Her naps are better. Still not as long as Margaret but anything is better than 30 min!

Mountains - Spring 2012

And we are off . . . thanks again Pops for letting us use your car and to the Alexanders for the DVD players! We couldn't of survived without them!
(Margaret was so excited to leave she refused to eat breakfast. She kept saying "lets go, lets go!"

 We stopped for lunch
and to get some energy out. We had the whole playground to ourselves. It was perfect unlike on our way home where there were teenagers running and screaming so she just watched :(
So happy to be here! After the long day and no nap until we were 45 minutes away, both girls were perfect angels!
The weather was perfect so we did lots of fishing, playing outside and hiking (walking the loop).
So proud of my lil fisherman catching her first fish.
They had a fun playground in town that Margaret couldn't get enough of. I think we went there everyday.

The last few years we have always been there for the changing of the leaves. It was nice to see the flowers blooming.
We had a nice surprise a few days before we left . . . bunnies! They had to of only been a few weeks old. Memo was not happy that these 7 lil animals were eating her plants but Margaret had plenty of talks with them about eating all the plants :)

We had a great trip but there is no place like home. Margaret kept running in circles saying mommy we are home!!!!

Fresh Beat Band

Margaret is obsessed! She sings and dances to them nonstop and knows the words to the songs.
Daddy had to travel for work so Aunt Bebe came with us. It was a fun girls outing. Thanks again for going with us!
She was a lil overwhelmed at first but didn't take long for her to start dancing and clapping!
She tells me all the time that she has a favorite song :) Use to be rock star but now is a "friend like you" or "Shine!"
We had so much fun that we are going again in August :)
Cannons make sure you get your Rock Star jackets ready.
